The Vellore Institute of Technology, a Deemed University, has extended the application last date by 10 days for B.Tech programs, the admissions being through its entrance exam VITEEE 2024, which shall be held from 19 to 30 Apr 2024.

Entrance exams clashing with VITEEE: Please note that VITEEE dates window clashes / overlaps the admission test date of IPU-BTech-Biotech (27 Apr – 14 May), IPU-BCA (27 Apr – 14 May), NDA-I (21 Apr 2024), SRMJEEE (19 – 21 Apr), CET-K (18 – 20 Apr), Ashoka University (21 Apr), WBJEE (28 Apr), NERIST (20 Apr), PESSAT (20 Apr – 12 May). Hence caution needs to be exercised while selecting the exam date/slot for VITEEE and / or others wherever such facility is provided.

Last date to apply: 30 Mar 2024 10 Apr 2024

Date of entrance exam: 19 Apr to 30 Apr 2024.

About the institute: VIT Vellore is now a Deemed to be University and also has been declared an Institute of Eminence by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. It also has two campuses in Chennai (Tamil Nadu), one each in Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) and Amravati (Andhra Pradesh).

The Bhopal and Amravati campuses are registered as state Private Universities in the respective states.  However, admissions to all the programs across the four-campus shall be based on VITEEE.

PCM / PCB based eligibility

(i) PCM/PCMB candidates who have attempted Physics, Chemistry, Maths, English and Aptitude in VITEEE are eligible for all BTech degree programmes.

(ii) PCMB/PCB candidates who have attempted Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Aptitude in VITEEE are eligible only for following BTech programs:

- Bioengineering (VIT Bhopal)

- Biotechnology (VIT Vellore)

- Computer Science and Engineering (BioInformatics) (VIT Vellore)

- Electronics and Communication Engineering (Biomedical Engineering) (VIT, Vellore).
